I believe that our quirks, flaws, and imperfections are what make us unique and interesting. I also believe that the same thing applies to fictional characters as well.
That's why it irks me everytime I see a character that has hardly any personality and/or is just so perfect in every way imaginable. It makes them boring, and it goes against the very definition of "character."

like one person said to me about my main character Valentine, she is not the perfect character. Even she screws up, like a scene in my comic. Helping a puppy with hunting, end up slicing the shit out of a possums leg. (though many people didn't like her after that)
